Collection One

Golden Moements

The clothes you love but can no longer wear, turned into bespoke keepsakes. Memory quilts, bags and bibs — made from your own fabric, and from your own story.

Where the clothes you love go next.

Some garments stop fitting. Some stop being worn. Very few stop mattering. Golden Moements is where those pieces go next: cut with care, composed into something new, and made to be used rather than stored away.

Golden Moements is for the garments that fall into the second category — the ones you cannot quite bring yourself to part with, and should not have to. Send them to us, and instead of a bin bag they become a quilt you use, a bag you carry, or a bib for somebody new.

How a commission works

Four steps, and no obligation.

Everything begins with a conversation about the clothes you have and what you would like them to become.

01

Tell us the story

Send us a message about the clothes you have, and what you would like them to become. There is no obligation and no wrong answer.

02

Send your garments

We talk through what is possible with the fabric you have, agree a design and a timeframe, then arrange for your garments to reach us.

03

We design and make

Fabric is unpicked, stabilised, cut and composed by hand. Usable cloth is fully repurposed; scraps are kept back for other pieces.

04

Loved again

Your piece comes home to you — a keepsake to use, to keep, or to pass on. The memory carries on, and so does the material.

Possibilities

What a collection of clothes can become.

  1. A quilt you actually use

Squares cut from shirts, dresses, babygros and knitwear, stabilised and composed into a throw that lives on the sofa rather than in a box.

  2. A bag that carries on

Totes and everyday bags cut from sturdier cloth — a parent’s jacket, a favourite pair of jeans, a coat that saw a decade of winters.

  3. Bibs for the next chapter

Soft, gentle bibs sewn from the clothes a little one has outgrown, so the fabric stays close a while longer.

  4. A piece for a milestone

Anniversaries, retirements, memorials and new arrivals — larger heirloom pieces designed with you, square by square.

What to send

Clean and dry

Fabric should be freshly washed and fully dry. This protects both the finished piece and our studio.

A mix is welcome

Different weights and weaves make a richer piece. Cottons, linens, wools and jersey all behave differently — we plan for it.

Say what is precious

Tell us which pieces matter most, or which detail must survive. We will place it where it will be seen and handled.

Nothing too worn

Fading, thinning and small marks are part of the story. We work around damage, or place it where it will not show.

Questions

How many garments will I need to send?

It depends on the size of the piece you would like. As a rough guide, a memory quilt uses a meaningful collection of garments, while a bag or a cushion can be made from considerably less.

Tell us what you have — even if it is only one or two things — and we will tell you honestly what it could become.

Can you work with sentimental or delicate fabrics?

Yes — this is much of what we do. Wedding dresses, baby clothes, uniforms, shirts, ties and knitwear all behave differently, and we handle each accordingly so the finished piece lasts.

Let us know what is precious in the collection, and we will tell you how we would approach it.

How long does a commission take?

Because everything is made by hand, timelines depend on the piece and the fabric. We will give you a clear timeframe as part of your quote, before anything is committed.

If you need a piece for a particular date, tell us early and we will be honest about whether it is achievable.
