Start an enquiry.

Tell us what you have and what you would like it to become. There is no obligation, and no detail too small — a rough idea and a pile of clothes is a perfectly good place to begin.

Enquiry form

Tell us about your garments.

The more you can tell us about what you have and what you would like, the more useful our first reply will be. Photographs are very welcome — and a photo of the fabric is often better than a description.

This form opens your own email app with your enquiry written out and ready to send to hello.moement@gmail.com. Nothing is stored, and nothing is sent automatically.

Photographs help enormously. If you can send a photo of the garments laid out, we can usually tell you straight away whether your idea is possible — and often suggest something better.

What happens next

01

We read it properly

Your enquiry is read by a person, not a queue. If anything is unclear we will ask.

02

We reply with options

What is possible with your fabric, roughly what it would cost, and how long it would take.

03

You decide

Nothing is cut, altered or committed until you are happy with the plan and the quote.

Before you write

What does it cost?

Every commission is priced individually, because every commission uses different fabric and needs a different amount of work.

Send us an enquiry with a little detail about what you have in mind and we will come back to you with a quote and options.

How many garments will I need to send?

It depends on the size of the piece you would like. As a rough guide, a memory quilt uses a meaningful collection of garments, while a bag or a cushion can be made from considerably less.

Tell us what you have — even if it is only one or two things — and we will tell you honestly what it could become.

What condition do the clothes need to be in?

They do not need to be perfect. Worn patches, small marks and gentle fading are part of the story, and we can often work around them or place them where they will not show.

What we do need is fabric that is clean, dry and free of anything that could affect the finished piece. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will advise.

How long does a commission take?

Because everything is made by hand, timelines depend on the piece and the fabric. We will give you a clear timeframe as part of your quote, before anything is committed.

If you need a piece for a particular date, tell us early and we will be honest about whether it is achievable.
